Olang ( 1.050m above sea level ) is located off the main street in a picturesque Pustetal, wide landscape. Framed the 4 villages (Oberolang, Mittelolang, Niederolang and Geiselsberg) in the south of the Dolomites, in the north of the Rieserfernergruppe with the glacier of the Hochgall and from west to east runs the Pustertal. The village has about 3.200 inhabitants and offers tourists as many guest beds: from 5-star hotels to comfortable apartments, ranging from simple to elegant private board room, the guest can choose here.
In the summer there are easy and demanding hikes in the nearby mountains, recreational sports of any kind may be exercised here. The public outdoor swimming pool with beach volleyball court, four tennis courts, jogging path, and riding stables provide sufficient variety.
In winter Olang local mountain, the Kronplatz ( 2.275m above sea level ), is a popular meeting place for alpine skiers. One of the most modern ski resorts in Europe invites vacationers for skiing, snowboarding or just to sunbathe. The childrens area allows parents to give their children during the day under the supervision and to guarantee them and the kids a relaxing and entertaining holiday. Cross-country skiers there are well-groomed trails with a connection to the neighboring villages over a length of 60 km. Furthermore, there is the village go tobogganing and ice skating.
